San Francisco, CA, October 11, 2011. Lattice Technology® Inc., the standard for technical communication and digital mock up software in the manufacturing enterprise, today released the latest version of XVL Player - Ver. 11.1. The free version, XVL Player, and XVL Player Pro are included in the update. At the same time the company also released updates for Lattice3D Reporter to Ver. 5.0 and XVL Web Master to Ver. 9.0.
Lattice Technology’s XVL format is the industry’s most compressed 3D format with no loss of accuracy of the data. This lightweight footprint for 3D allows complex 3D data and assemblies to be viewed on lower-specification PCs and easily shared across a network or the internet.
XVL Player can be downloaded for free and enables full viewing, measurement, markup, cross-section and animation playback of a 3D model in the XVL format. XVL Player Pro adds the ability to import multiple files, save changes made to the XVL files and export images. The latest XVL Player Pro supports Windows Internet Explorer 9 and enhances viewer options allowing the addition of background images to models.
Lattice3D Reporter enables 3D data, with related BOM, assembly, animation and annotation data, to be embedded in an Excel spreadsheet. Version 5.0 brings a number of new features and enhancements to reports, work instructions and parts lists. Improvements have been made across the product including support for Windows Server 2008 32bit / Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit (WOW64) and Microsoft excel 2010. Additional enhancements include support for multiple workbooks, better support for optimized XVL files and more options for tailoring the product to meet individual publishing requirements.
XVL Web Master automates the creation of intelligent HTML documents combining 3D graphics, BOM and other information. Version 9.0 adds support for Windows Server 2008 32bit / Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit (WOW64). Enhanced viewing and improved illustration views are also included in this version.
The latest version of XVL Player can be downloaded from the company’s web site. Customers with current maintenance can download the updated version of XVL Player Pro, XVL Web Master and Lattice3D Reporter free of charge.
