| Lattice Technology Teams With Swedish Integrator Condesign to Sell XVL-based 3D Publishing Applications
San Francisco, CA, November 21, 2006. Lattice Technology, Inc., developers of
the ultra-compressed XVL 3D format and industry leading 3D Publishing
applications, today announced a new reseller partnership, Swedish group
Condesign.
Lattice Technology provides easy-to-use applications that enable entire
organizations to rapidly integrate, re-use, publish and communicate 3D data
that originates as engineering CAD models.
Condesign is a respected international technology integrator, focused on
technical and marketing communications as well as system development for
document management.
The agreement between Lattice Technology and Condesign underscores the
growing demand for effective 3D publishing software within major automotive
OEMs and other large-scale manufacturers. Condesign provides services and
tools for the entire chain of information in manufacturing enterprises.
Major clients of Condesign include Saab, Volvo, Ford, ABB, IKEA, among
others.
"Combining Condesign's recognized system integration capabilities with XVL
technology provides a powerful solution for communication within automotive
and manufacturing processes as well as publishing needs that accompany the
final product, such as catalogs, manuals, and marketing materials," says
Bill Barnes, spokesman for Lattice Technology. "We are excited that such a
prestigious integrator has endorsed our products and technologies."
"Our experience has shown that manufacturing companies do not often realize
the time- and money-savings that could be made by being able to immediately
re-purpose 3D data," said Dr. Nils-Olov Johnson, General Manager of
Condesign. "Lattice's XVL technology is proving to be the lightweight,
transformable medium which bridges 3D CAD to a broad range of graphic
applications. Lattice Technology provides the technologies, applications
and solutions that make these savings incredibly easy to achieve. We are
glad to be working with such a forward-thinking company."
The Lattice's technology directly converts, compresses, and publishes 2D and
3D data from engineering for immediate use in downstream applications
ranging from assembly instructions to parts catalogs. The Lattice's
technology speeds development and design cycles by allowing companies to
publish, review and mark up data with a simple browser.
Major automotive, manufacturing, and aerospace companies use Lattice's
award-winning XVL-based technologies throughout the world to take data
directly from engineering and convert and compress 3D images into an XVL
file. Easy to use publishing applications are then used by multiple business
operations to produce user manuals, documentation, parts lists, assembly
instructions and more in almost any format including Microsoft OfficeR,
Adobe PDFR, Internet formats and HTML. XVL enables the compression of very
large data and the usage of computer memory so that end-users are able to
manipulate, email, and publish models that were originally 50-250 times
larger, without loss of detail.
