Fourth 'XVL Solution World' Event Draws Record Attendance

Success of 2005 XVL Solution World Event in Japan Signals Expansion into Continental US

Los Altos, CA - July 19, 2005 - Lattice3D, the leader in 3D Publishing and Communications, announced that the success of the Japan-based XVL Solution World event has facilitated plans for a similar event in North America for 2006.

XVL World, during its fourth event on May 31, 2005, in Tokyo, Japan, grew to more than 700 attendees from 500 previously. These attendees represented more than 300 companies using XVL and Lattice3D applications, some of which participated in numerous presentations and case studies illustrating the real world benefits of Lattice3D products. Toyota keynoted the event with a presentation entitled 'Process Restructuring with 3D Viewing' and presented a case study entitled 'Advantages of Design Review System Adoption in Designing Automobile Bodies.'

The event showcased new XVL applications by Lattice and 3rd party developers - Lattice announced Studio Pro - an exciting new DMU product resulting from close cooperation between Toyota and Lattice. Lattice also announced a forthcoming new version of XVL capable of handling very large scale and highly complex products (e.g. whole cars) at nearly the same ultra-compression of the current XVL format but a fraction of the memory use and double the frame rate for viewing.

"The 40% plus growth in attendance at the Japan-based event is illustrative of the adoption of XVL as the best compressed format for use of 3D data downstream of design," stated Alex Garcia-Tobar, CEO, Lattice3D, "Additionally, the announced further improvement of XVL extends its lead as the best format for companies needing to use, share and distribute 3D data."

"The XVL Solution World "US Edition" will be held in California in 2006 and details will be announced in the Fall of 2005," said Charlene Rose, Events Manager, Lattice3D.

Sponsors of XVL World included Dassault, HP, CoCreate, Hitachi Group companies, Toyota Communication Systems and many more.
